The Green Onion Blog is being invaded by zombies! Thanks to Louiselovesbooks, it is an absolute pandemic. The only chance for the Onions survival is to amass a team of ten random fictional characters from some of the best books on the shelf. Will Green make it to post another day? Lets break it down…
• Choose 5 books.
• Randomly set up your books in order.
• Flip to a random page in the book and write the first two names you see.
• Put the names in the categories listed below in the order you saw them!
• Cry at how screwed you are…
Way of Kings by Brandon Sanderson:
There is a plethora of capable characters in the first volume of The Stormlight Archives that could handle an epidemic such as this. One teammate with a Shardblade or some Shardplate and our hero just might make it.
Pulled: Kalidan, Jaks
The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien:
If they can handle battling Orcs, a dragon and a battle of five armies, they’re good enough for the Green Onion team. Hopefully, if he can pull Gandalf they will be clever enough this time to call his Eagles early.
Pulled: Gollum, Bilbo
Hollow City by Ransom Riggs:
Currently reading this book about children with powerful super human abilities. Pull a couple of the proper characters and everything may be okay.
Pulled: Emma, Olive
Ready Player One by Ernest Cline:
The High Five have saved one virtual world before, maybe today they can help the Onion. Perzival would make an ideal teammate in any dreadful situation.
Pulled: Art3mis, Aech
Lies of Locke Lamora by Scott Lynch:
Again the Gentleman Bastards is a group that doesn’t sweat under pressure. As long as Green can gain their trust and loyalty a couple strong assets may be gained.
Pulled: Capa Barsavi, Locke Lamora
- The First Person to Die
Well that’s not good… Probably the most powerful character on my team failed to make it out the gate. I am certain he went in a blaze of bravery and glory, sacrificing himself for the sake of the team.
- The Person You Trip to Escape
Oops sorry Jaks, as a minor character you are probably the safest bet for the Onion to use as a distraction. That’s what you get for letting Kalidan die.
- The Person that Trips You to Escape
I just knew he was going to be trouble. Creep looks like a zombie, Green probably couldn’t tell them apart and got tripped in the confusion. I hope you fall into a lake of molten lava…
- The Team Idiot
It’s okay Baggins, you weren’t built for this type of adventure. Just go invisible and stay out of the way, maybe you will survive to write this into your book.
- The Brains of the Group
Well she is like a hundred years old, that wisdom and level head may just come in handy. Most importantly she shoots friggin’ fire balls from her hands!
- The Team Medic
Huh… I am not sure she can keep up with her massive lead boots and no one to carry her. Maybe Green should untie her and let her float off, sorry hun.
- Weapon Expert
Fitting, this clever girl probably has a solid knowledge and weapons cache from the OASIS. Her high score will probably come in handy for the undead onslaught.
- Team Brawler
That’ll do, she is a pretty tough girl… he’s a tough dude? I dunno, either way Aech may not be Perzival but still glad to have two of the high five rolling with Green.
- First to turn into a Zombie
Meh, probably went out blubbering, bit by a zombie shark or something. You play tough Barsavi, but I am not too torn up by the loss, I have no problem cutting your head off.
- Team Leader
I can handle that, the Thorn can be quite the bad ass. Already the head of the Gentleman Bastards we have an established leader that is competent and proactive, things may be okay.
A strong capable team has been assembled, Green and his fictional team hold off the attacking zombies. Good men have died today, but the femme fatales on the team probably did most the heavy lifting to get them through. Wait! Whats this! The zombies are leaving, spreading out and attacking other bloggers! I hope our friends and peers are as lucky as Green Onion has been today. Good Luck!
Marta the Book Mermaid, I warned you a tag was on your way, now you have a zombie apocalypse to deal with.
Anna at Holland and Books, you just recently started following the Green Onion and now the Zombies have spotted you, best of luck.
No! Not the Captain of the Captains Quarters, it will be much too entertaining watching this pirate deal with an undead invasion.
Thanks booknerds, today we survived a dastardly invasion, tomorrow we can begin to rebuild.
