Ransom Riggs Announces a New Peculiar Trilogy

After the succesful release of the Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children movie, and short story collection in the same world titled, Tales of the Peculiar.  Author Ransom Riggs and publication company, Dutton Books, announce a nee Peculiar trilogy.  Featuring the main characters of the original trilogy, in an American setting.

Obviously this is big news for fans of the Miss Peregrine’s books, and the new setting adds many questions.  The author goes on to talk about the planned new series in a released statement.

“The first three novels introduced the peculiars and their world, but peculiardom is vast, its history is long, and there’s so much left to discover, I can’t wait to delve deeper, and to bring the story to America — which, as it turns out, is a much more peculiar place than anyone realized!”

The original book, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children was published in 2011.  After much success, and boasting the #1 spot on the New York Times bestseller list, follow up novels Hollow City and Library of Souls were released in consecutive years, 2014 and 2015.  With Tales of the Peculiar being released just one month ago, it goes to say that we will not have to wait long to return to the world of the Peculiars.

Congratulations to Ransom Riggs on signing the new trilogy, and as a fan I am excited to see what the stories shall bring.  More exciting, is the new collection of vintage photographs that I am certain these books will be peppered with.

Thanks booknerds, see you in Peculiardom.
