Sunday Mise en Place (Nov. 28 to Dec. 4, ‘016)

It is that time of the week again for the Sunday Mise en Place.  The Green Onion Blog weekly wrap-up and look ahead where we get everything in place.  It was a great week, after Novembers extended hiatus its nice to get back into routine.  So, lets hop into this and see what’s going on…

What’s Going On-

I’m sick.  It’s cold.  And my coffee isn’t working.  Is there such thing as extra-caffeinated coffee? Can I get some?

It is that wonderful time of the year again, and we are not ready at all.  Christmas concerts, dinners, and parties are filling up the calendar.  I am way behind on shopping.  This year we are leaving town to visit with Jenn’s parents on X-mas, so that narrows down the timeline of getting all the ducks in a row.  Yup.  It feels like Christmas.

Last Weeks Posts-

  • Two brilliant comic creators recently released a new mini-series, titled A.D.: After Death.  My fan-man-ing review can be found here.
  • One of our family favourites was reviewed for this weeks KidLit.  Check out The Very Cranky Bear.
  • Finally, I got my nominations in for the #2016bloggerawards, so be sure to have a look and get your own votes in.

An exciting week is coming up.  Starting with the long awaited, longer over-due, return of Mistborn Monday.  It has been a long while since my last top 10.  A throw back to one of my older favourite comic titles.  We will have a look at some very personal children’s books.  A return of another popular series focusing on characters.  And, it’s been a while since I did a tag.  Be sure to check back in throughout the week, there’s lots to see and read.

Thanks booknerds, let’s get through this last stretch of 2016 together.

Thanks. They really need to invent some sort of super-coffee.

I’m drinking thousand of litres of tea to keep warm and I never leave my giant socks but the cold is always around. I like it as long as I can feel my toes. I haven’t started my Christmas shopping, I already know I’ll panic and run to the shops very soon to avoid the last minute crowd but I still need ideas!

  4. The next time you’re really struggling and seeking caffeine, I’d recommend switching between Pepsi MAX and Diet Mountain Dew. That will electrify you pretty well; at least it does for me. Also, I hope you’re feeling better man!
