Sunday Mise en Place (Jan. 16 to 22, ‘017)

Another week packed away.  Time for the Sunday Mise en Place.  It was a fun and successful week for The Green Onion Blog albeit a quiet one with five posts.  Spent some of that time working on future projects for the blog and hopefully things work out there.  Pushing for that 500th follower this week and hoping that will put me over for some of these projects I have in mind.  Lots of exciting things to look forward to this year, but, let’s focus on the week and what’s going on here and now…

What’s Going On-

That was a pretty crazy weekend for my American neighbors.  The depression of the inauguration of President Lex Luther didn’t last long with that beautiful, inspirational turn out for the Women’s March.  Way to go women of the world!  That kind of thing is exactly what we need and I was so happy to see it.

Meanwhile in Canada…  My 6-year-old son has his first crush on a girl in his class. Everyone now, *Pause and aww*.  Yes, it is adorable.  Passing notes, being embaressed, and playing hard to get.  Grade school flirting has not changed.  Jenn and I have had to give him the talk about playing it cool.  I guess her friends told Zyler, that she said, it would be okay if he chased her at recess.  Again,*pause and aww*.

Last Weeks Posts-

  • Returning to the colourful, dangerous galaxy of Descender was Wednesday’s graphic novel review.

A great week ahead, starting with a novel written by a comic author with a dark theme.  I throw my hat into a popular Link Up.  The return of one of the most prominent creator owned comics.  I have a request to talk about some Lego.  And a look ahead at what will get us to the theatres in February.  All this and more so, please come by and check things out this week.

Thanks booknerds,*pause and aww*.

    Aww…His first crush! So sweet.
And lol at chasing at recess. I actually have a pic of my very first crush when I was that age. I forgot his name though.

Hope you make it to 500 followers and a lot more.

  3. The inauguration of President Lex Luther.. hahahaha. I think I would have opted for Lex if that had been a choice over the orange turd. Ooops… should I say that on here? And thank you for acknowledging the very successful marches. What a wonderful highlight to a hard week ❤

As far as Zyler goes, well watch out. It is all over once that permission to chase at recess has been granted 😉

True, Lex may be the lesser of two evils. At least he is wrapped up in defeating Superman and not human rights.
The womans march was amazing, if we had a representation closer I would have taken my little girl down there for certain.
And Zyler,… well yeah, i just hope it doesnt reach name calling levels yet. They should take it slow
