A happy Sunday. And a special happy day to all the mothers, grandmas, wives, dog moms, moms of cats or goldfish. I hope you have a spectacular day, and do something for you. And, of course, an important happy Mother’s day to Nana. Who Jenn says reads the Mise en Place weekly. That’s pretty awesome, and I appreciate everything you do for us, and your family. I’d send you a hug, but neither of us are really ‘huggers’. So how about you count those roses in todays image as yours!
Jumping into the Mise en Place, todays post is coming up late in the day. Been focusing on the moms in my world and making their day awesome. Let’s just get into it and talk about what’s going on…
What’s Going On-
As a special treat for Mother’s Day weekend, I took Jenn away from the crazy kids. Don’t worry, they had this afternoon to pour love and crafts at her. With all the stress of day to day, and Jenn preparing to return to school, I opted that the best thing for this important weekend would be a night away. We spent the night in Banff, Alberta last night, and had an amazing fondue dinner. It was a well needed, and deserved break, and a great date for a couple of busy parents. Happy Mother’s Day Jenn, we love you ever so much.
Speaking of love. Thursday was my one year blogging birthday! I kept referring to it as my birthday to the point of driving my family nuts, I did almost score free ice cream at one point, haha. But, you guys poured the love on me on Thursday, one of the best days in G.O.B. history. Thank you so much, and an extra thank you to My Comic Relief who made such a sweet, and kind post to help me celebrate. I’d like to tell you all how much I appreciate the support over the last year. So many people have had a big impact on the growth and development of this blog. Beyond that, I have personally grown and found a lot of myself in this project. I can’t wait to see what’s next, and take things further. All of you booknerds are amazing, thanks again!
Last Weeks Posts-
It was a crazy week, and I did expect that. I planned on three posts, though only got to two. And, one was a guest post, there’s a reason for that though.
- A tribute from my good friend My Comic Relief, check out the G.O.B. one year celebration with, Happy Birthday Green Onion (blog).
- Celebrating Mother’s Day, I put together a Top 10 Childrens book list for mom’s and kids to share on the big day.
Due to the extra crazy I am behind on a couple reviews, so hopefully I will get those out in the next couple days. I think I feel a Choice Cuts coming on, with some cool news happening last week. Part of my blog birthday was exchanging posts with My Comic Relief, be sure to join me in celebrating Michael’s blog on Wednesday! As always, all this and more, be sure to check back in this week.
Thanks booknerds, see you next week, same Green time, same Green website.
