Sunday Mise en Place (Oct. 30 to Nov. 5, ‘017)

I just saw a singular goose flying north in the snow. That is some natural selection at its finest. Henrique, (I named the goose Henrique just now) is an idiot.

Welcome back to the Sunday Mise en Place! Your one-stop shop for everything Green Onion. Every week, this is where you can check in for news, updates, and a recap of what I am up to. Also, as I plan my week ahead, you can find some clues as to what is coming. It’s been a big week with lots going on, so, let’s get started.

What’s Going On-

I should start with Halloween since that happened, old news already. The kids rocked their Power Rangers outfits! We also brought along my nephew, Adam, who won the holiday with his old lady costume (pictures below). Despite the awful weather of rain and wind, it was a successful evening with the kids filling up the biggest pot I have in the house. Thank you, kids, the extra candy has been delicious. I appreciate all the hard work of collecting treats for dad.

November is National Novel Writing Month, NaNoWriMo, and I am participating… in my own way. Last year, I took this project way too seriously. So, I am dropping the pressure and going at my own pace, and my personal word count goals. However, I do have high hopes for this fun little project, and I hope it is something I can share in the year to come.

I am excited to make this next announcement. I have been officially signed on to as a feature article writer and Canadian correspondent. I am joining a team of elite nerds there, and I am so happy to be part of the team. There are some great projects already in the works and many things to look forward to. Very exciting, be certain to check out the site and you can find my first article… oh, right below, in the last week’s posts.

Last Week’s Posts-

  • Things got spooky on this week’s Plog episode. Have a listen to Plogoween; I dressed up just for you guys.
  • For this weeks Deconstructed it was time to pull a Jeff Lemire comic out, with Sweet Tooth #2.

Looking at getting a couple of new posts on Bubbleblabber this week, so keep your ears to the ground. Big things are happening on Plog, look for a post on Tuesday that will explain. It feels like forever since I did a comic review, time to get back to my roots. This week’s Deconstructed will feature a couple of the raddest looking superheroes. I will try to squeeze another post I have been planning in there, but, we’ll see. Stay tuned.

Thanks booknerds, and good luck Henrique.
