Must See January ‘018 Movies

Yay January… The worst month for movies of the year. Honestly, not one movie made my list for the 2018’s must-see films. But, that doesn’t stop us from wanting to catch something good. Luckily, you have the Green Onion here to round up the best movies coming this month. Let’s look at the top 5!

Day of the Dead: Bloodline

Day of the Dead is easily one of George A. Romero’s most underrated zombie films. The first look at what an intelligent zombie may look like. This reimagining is something to be excited about even if it is low-budget and may be hard to find.

12 Strong

Oh, wait. This is another American propaganda military flick. Meh.

Molly’s Game

A high stakes thriller with a female lead calling the shots. Yes, please. The trailers for this movie look decent and an all-star cast you can get behind. Should be alright.

The Clapper

Strange comedies can often be gold. That is why I will give this movie about an infomercial clapper a chance. Ed Helms can be funny in the right role, and the rest of the cast fills out nicely. The Clapper could be a surprise hit.

Maze Runner: Death Cure

This series had one of the most dramatic opening scenes you can name. The rest of the series is kind of… meh. However, I am excited to see how it all ends. Plus, there are some solid characters. Something keeps drawing me back to Maze Runner.

Bloodline should be interesting, I can’t find much info on its release yet

For me, Day of the Dead; Bloodline is a guilty pleasure film…I loved it even though a large number of movie fanatics I interact with don’t
