Sunday Mise en Place (Jan. 29 to Feb. 4, ‘018)

Happy Super Bowl Sunday to all the American Football fans. For all the Star Wars fans, happy Solo trailer release day. And, happy Sunday for everyone else. For me, it is a pleasant relaxation day after a crazy busy week. There are a few things to cover today so, let’s hop right into what’s going on-

What’s Going On-

Big week for the sprouts at school. They had a hip-hop dance instructor at school all week, which culminated in a dance performance on Thursday night. Absolutely adorable was watching them practice all their sweet moves at home all week. And then, the week ended with report cards coming home on Friday. Alex’s first report card ever was what we expected and Zyler’s was a bit of a shocker. I think I will touch on this more in the next Parenting Stew article so, let’s just let that linger.

I have been super crazy overwhelmingly stressfully busy this week taking on even more family court business. For anyone who has ever had to deal with separation, you know what I mean. But, for me, this is five years running. Separated parents, please try to get along for the sake of the children, court is such an unnecessary headache and cost. Ugh.

Finally, I can officially announce my latest freelance writing work. I have been signed on as a Canadian content writer for a brand new site, dailytings.com. I have been pumping out articles for a few weeks as this site is coming together. Keep watch as I get the opportunity to write about all sorts of Canadian stories from humour to politics. From here on this will be my primary workload and the last couple weeks have been about adjusting to a thick workload. I’m stoked to be a big part of this project and look forward to what is to come. With as many as 75 articles dropping per week, I will keep the ‘Last Week’s Posts’ section of the M.e.P. to some of my favourites from that site.

Last Week’s Posts-

Upcoming-

Well, with everything on the table, expect a lot of Green Onion articles on Daily Tings. I will also keep up with my regular feature and reviews on Bubbleblabber. And as for my baby, the Green Onion Blog, things should be settling back into a regular routine again through February. I have many reviews and Deconstructed to catch up on, as well as keeping up with Parenting Stew. In the next couple days, you can expect a pop culture history lesson, and some great comics are coming this week that I may need to share. What’s upcoming? So much.

Thanks booknerds, happy football day.
