Happy April, or maybe not so much. I have to admit; I am pretty done with winter. Usually, I try to be a good sport through the frozen season. However, this one just isn’t going to end. It’s starting to get under my skin, but let’s hit up this week’s Mise en Place.
What’s Going On-
It is snowing. Still. And, not just a bit, like we had a significant snowfall last night. It wouldn’t be so bad if the season’s accumulation had a chance to melt, but it keeps on piling up.
I literally had to push a car out of the snow the other day. In April. I’m used to giving a few pushes through winter, but April is kind of ridiculous. That’s how stupid this is getting.
I know I’m stuck on this, but seriously. This week hit temperatures so cold; it was the chilliest it has ever been in Calgary. In recorded history. Ever. The school wouldn’t even let the kids play outside during recess. In April.
I’m over winter.
Last Week’s Posts-
- April in Pop Culture History was full of some goodies and Easter eggs I hope you caught it.
- Speaking of Easter eggs, I got to actually be one this week in this post from Nancy at Graphic Novelty2. Thanks, Nancy.
- Here is a selection of my favourite posts I wrote for Daily Tings this week: Global Warming Map, Corner Gas Contest, Legends Removed from Stanley Cup, Edmonton’s 90’s Festival, UFO Coin, Malala Yousafzai in Canada, LEGO TTC Car, and Best April Fools’ Day Jokes.
- You can also find my regular reviews on Bubbleblabber for Our Cartoon President. It was also the official launch of Corner Gas Animated, which was better than I thought it would be.
Honestly, the next few weeks are full of things going on. I am especially excited for the Calgary Comic Expo at the end of the month, and I am trying to come up with a game plan, instead of winging it the way I usually do. And, winter may one day end, or I am convinced that Canada is becoming Westeros.
