Sunday Mise en Place (May 28 to June 3, ‘018)

Happy June and happy National Accordion Awareness Month! Remember, there is no prerequisite of listening to accordion music this month, it is more about the acknowledgement that accordions exist. For more information on how best to celebrate #NationalAccordionAwarenessMonth have a read of this blog I wrote up last year. And, have fun, share the awareness and let’s make it the best #NAAM yet!

What’s Going On-

Sorry for the late post, lots going on and Zyler and I literally just got home.

So, I guess I have been going through some stuff as I am sure was gathered with my rather depressing Mise en Place last week. I really appreciate those who have reached out, thank you. I will be okay, been through some harder days than these, and I will bounce back in no time. I will still be here continuing to do what I do, whatever that is.

Also, I started a GoFundMe last week, and I’d like to send a huge thanks to Nancy, Laura Beth, and Matt who have been kind enough to help. I have sourced a monitor thanks to my bro, so I will be dropping my goal accordingly. But, if you could help out by giving this link a share I would be very grateful.

Last Week’s Posts-

  • Last week was the release of the latest Terrifics book, you can find a review here.
  • If you haven’t watched Solo: A Star Wars Story yet, don’t worry my review is spoiler free and super good!
  • Fans of all kinds of films have reason to get excited about summer blockbusters even if all the best movies are already out. Check out June’s 5 Must Sees.
  • And, of course, June in Pop Culture! If you haven’t read this one this week it is worth it. One of my favourites.

Upcoming-

As I get back on track we can expect a slew of reviews to be coming out. When I get to that, I am not certain I have a couple big work contracts to focus on. But, if there is one thing I have in spades that I didn’t have last week is time, so hopefully that means lots of blogs sooner than later. Thanks for reading everybody! Happy #NAAM!

Are you a Weird Al fan? I didn’t realize it was National Accordion Awareness Month!

    1. I think the only proper reply to this question – for anyone, in any circumstance – is YES. #WeirdAlFanForLife woo hoo!

      2. Haha, I meant the only proper reply to the question “Are you a Weird Al fan?” was “YES.” Because…WEIRD AL. I will love him forever.

I’ve been known to appreciate the stylings of Weird Al more often than not. I mostly believe that the accordion lacks some serious awareness. All the diseases and social issues get all of the attention, but what about accordions?
